It would be a real time saver if a user could create a custom line that would have the ability to have the dimension
of said line labeled as you actively draw the line.
Thanks for the response, I actually created a cell like you are describing but it does not function the way I intend.
As workaround you could try to use this cell with Annotation as text field. Set place cell to interactive(Scale&Rotate), Scale annotation-off and the try to place cell named "line".AnnotationLine.cel
Sorry for the confusion, to be more specific as you draw a line of the style, weight, color, level ect...of your choosing the "dimension" of said line would then be associated
to that line as you actively draw it in the program. It would change it's length automatically as you shorten or lengthen it. I would use this tool to draw the exterior
lines of a building and as I draw the lines they would be accurately dimension as I draw them saving time from having to do so as a separate tool.
I really appreciate the input from you both and I will google (microstation VBA)

It's good example where to start the discussion. I assume there are more requiremement that have to be implemented to make the tool usefull, e.g. to associate the label with the line. But MicroStation VBA is tool that can be used to create tool(s) to evaluate different functionality and concepts.
