Element Menu

Adding of Point Symbol Styles on Element Menu is easy accessible for Drafters like me and it should be better customizeable, editable or by cell options.

Because the current MS V8i if I want to use non-default point symbol usually by pressing Q43(Drawing Task) or by clicking Tools Menu<Task<Q<Point on Element are taking a time to access

  • Thanks Mr. Jan for these information

  • Hi Frankcelito,

I agree with Mary that it's not very clear what change you would like to implement into MicroStation.

MicroStation does not know anything like "Point Symbol Styles", contrary to existing Text Style, Dimension Style etc. The "style" is predefined setting, that can be stored in DGNLIB and it controls configuration of a specific tool. So is your idea about to add new style named "Point Symbol Style"? To what tools it should be applied?

I do not understand how Point Symbol Style will speed up the access to Point on Element tool. The path to the tool will be the same (but you can customize MIcroStation GUI or to assign this tool to F key) and what point type is used (Point, Character, Cell) is always accessible in Tool settings dialog, so when the tool is active, this setting is always available. And if you want to use a predefined settings, you can create Element Template(s) that allows to define what point type will be used.

    Regards,

  • I mean add in the Element Menu as shown on the image so that there is available Point Symbol Styles so if you want to click Element you see the Point Symbol styles

  • Point symbol styles? Do you mean the options available on the Tool settings dialog?
