I've wasted enough paper..maybe someone can shed some insight on this problem:
Is there anything special I need to do if I'm trying to nest from MicroStation [iPlot] to a HP DesignJet 1050c plus?
Just can't get to the bottom of this..much appreciated * joe
I just wanted to throw out another nesting tidbit that can throw a monkeywrench into your Microstation plotting. Several years ago we were having a great deal of difficulty getting multiple copies of each of our maps to plot properly from Microstation on our HP 1050 and 1055 plotters. If we would specify 10 copies of a map in the plot dialog box and we might get 2, 5 or maybe 7 copies, never the exact number that we asked for. Some helpful employee in our department had turned nesting on for both plotters in an effort to save paper. After much back and forth with HP tech support , we were told by them that specifying multiple copies of the same drawing in the dialog box was incompatible with having nesting turned on. Our two options at the time were to move all A and B size plotting to desktop plotters, so there was no need to nest small drawings with our larger maps or to plot out of Microstation using IPLOT, where it was very easy just to hit the plot button 10 consecutive times to get our multiple copies.
