G'Day All
Please excuse my ignorance and appologies if this has been asked before... but only my first time here!
Can you create greyscale lines in MicroStation?... would like to print some existing structures Grey in a very busy design, rather than have to rely on line weight to seperate.
Any help would be greatful
Cheers Ambo - MicroStation Newbie.
Thanks for the input Bear..
But I might need a "How too" or instructions if anyone can help..

I prefer to use Level symbology overides use two views one with it on and the other with it off
then you use the level manager to alter the appearance of colours etc via the levels those objects appear on
also I prefer to use printer.plt as it acesses all the network printers and allows you to scale etc via paper sizes and I like wysiwig printing ... pentalbes and custom printers are bit tricky for a newbee...
look at the steps marked 1 to 4 in the attached picture
Step 1 control b and turn on Level symbology for the views you want to change
Step 2 Select the level manager
Step 3 turn on the level overides toggle from bylevel to overrides..
Step 4 choose the colour for the level you want to override ie my example only on 1 level I have imposed a red override
If you do all the above it can be applied to all levls or just some it acan also apply to Refernced files too ...take a look at the tutorial at the link below too.. it deals more with the Bylevel symbology but its trhe same principals
