I'm trying to print some drawings with TrueType fonts from MicroStation but the text is too dark / bold / thick.
I can print other drawings with TT fonts through IPlot and they look fine, but I need to be able to do this through MicroStation as well. I don't know how, but the IPlot pen table changes the weight of the TT fonts so they print correctly.
In MicroStation print, I am using a plot file that specifies the line weights, and my graphics print correctly, but I don't see anything in the plot file that will let me control the "line weight" of fonts. I cannot find anything that I can change in the pen table options that pertains to fonts either.
Is there a way to control this? Do TT fonts have some kind of special classification? They do not seem to be influenced by line weight settings (wt-0 and wt-10 appear the same).
Try an make new pentable .... try an import the iplot pen table to microstations pentable.. I did it with the acad pentable it worked may it will with the iplot..
Alternative would be to put all true type on a specific level unique to te true type.. then use a custom pentable to control the weights etc via the level..
only other thing I could find was in the printers help but it refers to post script printers handling of the true types fonts...
