I am fairly new to this. I used to plot using Equariom and it had a function that would take solid filled areas and output patterns. Is there a way to configure the Pen Table to do the same thing. Patterns cause the file to be way to slow and lock up all the time. I want to avoid using patterns in the actual file but need the patterns when plotted.
Hi,
I have not MicroStation V8 2004 Edition installed right now, so not able to test it, but I think it should be possible. You should create Element Selection Criteria so filled elements will be included and to create Element Output Actions to use Fill Patterns.
Another solution can be to use patterns in your design (which I prefere personally), but to switch off a pattern display in View Attributes, so the patterns will be not displayed at all and will not slow down MicroStation.
With regards,
Jan
