I am having issues when drawing rectangles. When I draw a rectangle using a default OOTB line style and then plot it, some corners are not displayable. I found this article http://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/w/microstation__wiki/obtaining-displayable-corners-with-custom-linestyles-tn.aspx but this doesn't help me as I am not using a custom line style. The scale of the default linetypes I am using has been set in our plot driver, is it the scale that is causing the problem or is there something I can change to make sure that my corners intersect?
I am attaching a copy of the plt file I am using in the hope that someone will be able to give me a solution to this. Thanks in advance. By the way I am using Microstation V8 2004 in V7 workmode.
Hello Claire,
I assume you have used the styles 1-7 in your drawings.
Those styles are hardcoded and there isn't a way to have them display properly at corners.
To workaround that:have you considered, using a pentable in which you remap the styles you used to a custom line style that matches the settings as mentioned in the link you found?
More information on this you can find in the menu: Help>Contents, see Printing Guide and: Print Resymbolization and Pen Tables.
I hope this is of help.
Best regards,
Henk
That's a great idea and I hadn't thought of that, however the client states in their drafting standards that we are not allowed to use custom line styles so I suppose that means I will just have to live with it. Really useful information though for future reference. Thanks!
Since the definition of the line codes when plotting resides in the "plt" file, you may be able to adjust the definitions. This is mandatory if you plot at different scales.
