Hi guys,
Iv recently started with a new company and am predominantly drafting with V8 microstation 2004 which is good. I am happy about the situation besides one little thing.
The guy who left the company set up the borders for our drawings in a different way than im used to. He always brought across a referance file for all the drawings in the folder to contain all the drawings. this reference file contained the border & title block etc. This was fine, even though its a stupid way of managing things.
My problem is though, that some of the text & underlines (which are dotted & i cannot select) in the border cross over with other text and lines. Iv seen this happen before, however, when the drawing prints the text usually shrinks or compresses in a way that it appears fine. This is not the case for these drawings though and im racking my head trying to solve this!!!
unfortunately it appears i cant attach pictures to show you exactly what i mean but someone must get what im saying. please help before i get in to much *** at work for not being able to fix this problem.
feel free to email or msg me because i need help on this matter right away.

much appreciated guys,
Sounds like the text is data fields. If they are in a reference file then they can't be edited.
You should be able to attach pics or even an example file.
here is some screenshots attached of my current problem. i know its done with data fields but i dont think thats the problem. i think it has something to do with my viewing/printing settings because the ref files have always been this way and apparently its never been a problem before. the text & underlines that clash with parts of the border should be shrinking when printed to fit, but they dont. but ideally i would like everything to appear as it is when it is printed and fit the page too.\
has anyone else had this problem before? i really need this solving today? :/
and these dam underlines!!
This looks like BHP's build and the problem is the fact that you don't seem to have the correct font so MicroStation does a font replacement to display the text and that's why you get the overrun. That would also be the issue with the dots under the text, they are the wrong font so it blows out in size.
so to fix this????
