Odd Colour Issue

I have been given a drawing that seems to have been converted from Autocad and saved as DGN.  The colour table being used is the Microstation default colour table, and there are no overrides set.  If I print the drawing to a colour printer the colours shown in print preview do not match those in my model. I have one model in the drawing, no sheet layout has been setup and I have no pen table attached.  As I did not do the conversion and have not seen the original autocad drawing I cannot figure out what is going on.  Can anyone shed any light on why this might be happening please?

  • Can anyone shed any light on this I am really struggling to understand what is happening.  I have noticed that it isn't happening in one file it happens in all files I convert from autocad to DGN.  Upon opening the dwg in Microstation, I first change my colour table to be the default Microstation colour table, I then do a save as V8 DGN and use the CSV file to remap the autocad colours to Microstation colours.  In the model everything looks correct, in the sheet layout i notice that the autocad colours are still in use, if I do an element information on an item the colour table being used is still the autocad colour table.  I have also noticed that if I try to do a print preview of my model, although the colours look to be the correct Microstation Colours on screen, in print preview they are completely different to the model.  I am tearing my hair out now, I just cannot get my head around what is happening
