I have a cell library that has numerous cells that have a fill color of 255. The color is barely visible and covers up reference elements. It looks good on the screen but prints/plots as a black opaque shape. These cells are from a cell library that was issued to us.
I am hoping someone out there knows how I can make it so color 255 works like a mask on the elements/references under it. I'm wondering if this is something that has to do with acad's wipeout. The pen tables I am working with are laid out in a way that seems only to address dropout and nondropout for specific levels and specific colors.

You say that it is "barely visible" on screen, but it shouldn't be visible at all.If you change your background color, is it still invisible and working properly as a mask (truely the background color)?
If yes, the the most likely culprit is your pen table, or possibly your pen settings in your print config.
If you change your background and it still shows up as nearly black, then you need to verify that it is really color 255 (background).If it is, could your color table have gotten tweaked?
