I have an office where they just installed a HP Z5200 plotter. We are having a problem that it will not plot with the attached driver. I use this same driver for HP 1055 and HP T790 plotters with no issues. I am thinking it is a Windows driver issue. I had the IT staff install a PCL5 driver for the plotter but the plotter came up with a wrong file format error.
Any suggestions?
try pscript or hpgrtl instead of hpgl2
I had to contact Bentley plotting support on this one. I learned that this printer does not support HPGL/2 language without additional software from HP. My IT guys did not install the software yet so I could test.

This is why I told you to try something else. The HP webb site show that you have to use something like HP Pro something or other for HPGL2. Change the "Model=" and "Driver =" in the plt file to one of the other supported formats. Or use standard Windows print driver.
