We are using V8 2004 and one of my users is having a problem when they try to print from Microstation. It takes an age for the print dialog box to open and then once it opens the dialog box is black rather than the usual grey. It's very unresponsive. I noticed in the windows processes that the spool process is taking almost 50% cpu while we are waiting for the print dialog box to come up on screen. Has anyone had this issue before? I wondered if this could be his graphics card? Seems odd that only Microstation is affected though.
- Check if all connected printers are ok.
- select a other printer as your "default printer"
- rename your *.upf file. The location of your upf file is displayed in MicroStation -> Workspace -> About Workspace -> Preferences
