I have a file that has an elevation view that is a raster file. The raster is a gif with a transparent background. When i print the sheet, the shaded background prints out as a shaded. It looks awful. Is there a way to just print ot the black linework?
this happens if i jsut use a plain jpg, the white background still print out a shade darker than the sheet.
Edit: checking "rasterized" in the dialog box fixes the problem but makes the rest of the sheet look like crap.
Hi,
this one is hard to answer if you do not provide the original files or maybe smaller samples . You have a number of settings and options with the plotting dialogs and menues. you should also try out the settiings (e.g. the resolution) in the .plt file when plotting rasterized. You may want to carefully/gradually change the settings. Mind though that e.g. exteme settings may create large plotfile. (too large for the plotter memory). There are lots of possibilites around hybrid (vector/raster) plotting and all those formats and the options. It takes training AND time to find the right settings in your case. As this is not a support question (that I would recomend to file a Service Ticket with our Service Ticket Manager ) This is rather the kind of issue for invdual training or consulting - surely if this is a reocurring matter.

Actually, the sheet prints fine using the pdf print driver and the hpgl driver, its a modified printer.plt driver im using that produces these results.. i didn't changeanything in the driverwith the expeception of the printer and the paper settings.
I can circumvent the process and make a pdf if i need smaller print, im just wondering what in the printer.plt driver is causing this...
As Gerd stated, it is going to be very difficult to make any definitive diagnosis without actually seeing what you are using. So, if you post the "modified printer.plt driver" configuration file that you are using, that would be a good start.
