looking for plot stamp containing- project dir & name, date, time, author

I have a plot stamp that can be updated in V8 but not in XM. In V8 we insert our *.bas and then update it with another *.bas file. The stamp looks like the following:

DGN TAG: N:/CROSSTOWN TRAIL/5296.09/DESIGN/ROADWAY.DESIGN/5296.PROFILE.01.1.DGN 8-11-2009 16:32:29 SD

Does anyone have a plot stamp that updates automatically? or can someone help me convert our (v8)*.bas files to XM?

Have you thought of using text substitution in a pen table?

We produce a near exact stamp by using the process that Bear has suggested. The text string in embeaded in our standard border files and require nothing more than a pentable text substution.

I know the graphics side of MS fairly well and the inner workings not so well. So how would I go about placing this text string into my border, with a pentable sub?

Have a look at the attached tbl file. You can have strings such as $DATE$ in your border and when you plot with the pen table attached, the string is substituted with date, time etc. $PATH$, I think, is also another string available.

The Pen Table Editor has some predefined.
