HELP - line weights in PDF file

Mstn V8 Xm (with Triforma):  WIn 7 :  Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.  2GB Ram

When I create a pdf file via the system printer or via the pdf.plt  file, the file lines are thicker and therefore I have a loss of detail.  I have tried printing at 1200, 600 and 300 dpi all the same.

The preview plot within Mstn is accurate, so something is happening when when I actually create the file.  I do not if it is a seetinsg withing Mstn, the plt driver file, or actually within Acrobat settings.  I have in the past been able to create excellent pdf files, but for some reason not know.

 Many Thanks

Graeme

  • Hello GJR,
You can change the plotted line weights in the pdf.pltcfg file delivered
with MicroStation when you use MicroStation to create the PDF file.
If you are plotting the pdf through the System Printer using the Adobe PDF
Printer then you can adjust the line weights via the printer.pltcfg file
(note this method would affect all of your plots going to the any printer)
