 When I create a pdf file via the system printer or via the pdf.plt file, the file lines are thicker and therefore I have a loss of detail. I tweaked mine to the point where you can't tell the difference in the plotted output between the PDF files and plots directly from Microstation using IPLOT. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;/BLOCKQUOTE&gt;

I also did not like this problem. My solution was to modify copies of the pdf.plt &amp;amp; pdf.pltcfg for my postcript compatable printers to copy the output file directly to the shared printer. Of course this doesn't help with non-postcript printers.

&amp;nbsp; I was never satisfied with the thick line weights&amp;nbsp;from the default output of the PDF plot drivers either. That is why I started modifying the postscript drivers&amp;nbsp;so I could make my own custom Postscript&amp;gt;PDF files for use with the Acrobat Distiller&amp;nbsp;in Acrobat Professional.&amp;nbsp; I tweaked mine to the point where you can't tell the difference in the plotted output between the PDF files and plots directly from Microstation using IPLOT. Give this one a try. Hope it helps.....

I have tried printing at 1200, 600 and 300 dpi all the same.&lt;br /&gt;&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&gt; The preview plot within Mstn is accurate, so something is happening&lt;br /&gt;&gt; when when I actually create the file.  I do not if it is a seetinsg&lt;br /&gt;&gt; withing Mstn, the plt driver file, or actually within Acrobat&lt;br /&gt;&gt; settings.
