I'm making prints to PDF using the latest XM configuration. When the config files is set to enable the file/level optional content, the PDF will look correct in adobe pro 9, but will print with these big squares as shown in the attachment.
This never happened before in adobe pro 8. I've even tried creating the file to a lower version of adobe, but with no success.
My IT guy is saying that the "postscript" languange when created needs to be level 3. Can you give me guidane on this? (and help with the below issue which may help even fix my problem)
I'm using the .plt configuration to make prints. I wanted to start using the .pltcfg files, but they won't open up in the manager.... similar to this guys post, but i'm not sure how he fixed it b/c his solution is not working for me.

Also, "KL" in the below post had similar a issue but with lines instead of blocks.... related?
