i am trying to print a file that has linked excel sheets in it. the pdf looks great but once printed on our printer there are miscelaneous lines showing up. Has anyone else had this problem?
is there a problem with microstation xm and linked files? or is there a problem with our printer?
I have the same issue. Printing from Microstation produces a quality print, but printing from a pdf produces a product of low quality (fuzzy numbers/letters and lines either added or missing). Has caused me many headaches and wondering if there has been any headway in solving this issue. Many thanks
I have had the same issue but only on some printers. The pdf will print ok on other printers. Not sure why this happens but it makes me believe it's the printer.
When had this same issue and found that if you print the pdf as an image, it will bypass the processing that causes the errors and print the file correctly.
To do this, view the PDF and select File > Print.
There should be an Advanced button. Click on this.
Toggle on Print As Image and click OK to close the Advanced Print Setup dialog box.
Then click OK to print.
We're currently experiencing this problem as well. The workaround mentioned by Patrick (rasterizing) does the trick but can also lead to a huge file size, depending on the content of the dgn. Using Adobe printer works as well, but the problem appears to be inside the Bentley driver so how about a fix??
