I have searched the Be Communities and have found some allusions to being able to create pdf from MicroStation that can be commented on with Acrobat Reader. Is it true?
I can't seem to be able to do anything with the Reader to files I created with XM pdf.plt driver. Is this an Acrobat limitation?
Here are the pdf.plt settings:
CmdName /appname="pdf" /command="AllowPrinting" /qualifier="1" CmdName /appname="pdf" /command="Version" /qualifier="Acrobat 7 (PDF 1.6)" CmdName /appname="pdf" /command="AllowChanges" /qualifier="1" CmdName /appname="pdf" /command="EngineeringLinks" /qualifier="On" CmdName /appname="pdf" /command="RGBRasterCompression" /qualifier="zipped" CmdName /appname="pdf" /command="LevelLabel" /qualifier="DisplayName" CmdName /appname="pdf" /command="SearchableText" /qualifier="on" CmdName /appname="pdf" /command="PrintOptionalContent" /qualifier="AsDisplayed" CmdName /appname="pdf" /command="EnablePlotTo3D" /qualifier="on" CmdName /appname="pdf" /command="EnableOptionalContent" /qualifier="On" CmdName /appname="pdf" /command="SetPageFromPlotSize" /qualifier="off" CmdName /appname="pdf" /command="BookMarks" /qualifier="On" CmdName /appname="pdf" /command="DocTitle" /qualifier="$(basename(_DGNFILE))-$(MS_PLTMODELNAME)" CmdName /appname="pdf" /command="OwnerPassword" /qualifier="pdf"
The attached image shows what Acrobat displays as the resulting security settings.
I am using Microstation XM 8.9.4.51, Acrobat 8.2.0
