multiple batchplot.spc's

how can can we  have  different batchplot specs for different set ups  like  one  for pdfs and  another  to print to the  colour plotter instead of the  default sys printer?

In V8 we used to copy the  same  file over and  over and just  rename and edit it to suit  so we  have  a  std one for pdfs  another one for a different  pentable etc   for client specific plots.

  • The batchplot specification file (.spc) can contain as many specifications or plot set ups as you want. When a "job" file is selected to plot, the ".spc" file is searched for the information for the 4 print specification to be used. Therefore one "spc" file can cover any number of workspaces as long as the desired ones are in the file. Likewise the "spc" file can be copied to a project folder and the batch plot environment variable forced to that  folder. An example would be to use the "_dgndir" variable and have the spec file saved with the project files allowing any spec file to be modified specifically for that project. Also any location that you wish for a project spec file can be used if the location is stored in the project "pcf" file.
