In V8 XM, is batch printing to multiple pdf files possible?

In Batch Print is there a way to print to multiple files instead of just to one?  I have about 40 .dgn's that I'm trying to run Batch Print on and they all print to one .pdf with 40 pages that I'll just have to break up and rename manually into 40 separate .pdfs.  I'd like to be able to print to 40 .pdfs with filenames identical to their corresponding .dgns.  I've looked through all of the apparent available options and settings in the Batch Print dialog but can't find the option anywhere.  Can this be done?

It looks like it can be done in V8i but I don't have that at my office and obtaining it is not within my power.

Thanks,

Steve

  • Hello, Steve

In V8_XM, there is an option can meet your requirement.  Choose: File>Batch Print>Specifications>Manage , and on the left side of the pop up dialog , click 'Printer' under the list of the 'Types' box,and on the right side choose 'pdf.plt,ANSIA' under the list of the 'Specifications'box, and click the 'Properties' button on the right, then a new dialog poped up ,and at the bottom of the dialog there is an check box named as 'Print document set to single file', this is checked by default, and you can uncheck it ,and click 'ok', the problem you described will be settled.

    Thanks,
