Nested Raster Cropped at Printing - 08.09.04.88

I have a border file that has a client logo as a raster reference that is then referenced into layout models. All looks perfectly fine until I try to print. In the original border file that was set up, the raster logo prints fine, but in the drawings where the border file is attached the logo is trimmed and I can't find a way to fix it. See pics, any suggestions?

  • Any feedback on this Mathieu? Are you able to reproduce the issue?

  • Bear,

    Sorry for the delay.

I didn't forget you but I'm struggling with MicroStation V8 XM on my computer which really needs some cleanup.

I wasn't able to reproduce the problem with MicroStation V8i.

I hope that next week I will be able to test your problem on MicroStation V8 XM.

    Thanks,

    Mathieu

  • Bear,

Finally, I was able to try to reproduce your problem and it seems that the raster is also cropped a little when printed to the printer, though not as cropped as what you are experiencing.

I guess that there might be some sort of raster lines that are lost during the print preparation because of some resolution mismatches and calculation approximations.

I think that a nice workaround, which works on my computer, is to add some white lines at the end of your raster logo so that this is those white lines that are removed instead of the lines composing the text.

    HTH,

    Mathieu

  • I agree with Mathieu's solution..

I had a  similar problem when we first moved to xm from V8 it was that the  title block had the  raster  placed into it when it was  done in V8 then when we moved to xm we just kept the old title block and  tried to print in xm and saw what you have had happen so I edited the logo in MSPaint made it a little bigger and  added more white around the edges then I deleted the logo raster from the reference master title block dgn and reattached it to a new title block with the  raster manager  all in XM and now its fine ( BTW old logo used in xm but printed thro V8 printed perfectly fine but only in V8)...
