I am using V8 XM
I have a reference which is my border file, which we have a code on the edge of it for the plot stamp.
We use $DATE$ and in doing this, the date will show up on every drawing.
Does anyone know what this code is supposed to be in order to get the File name and directory to show up on each drawing? Each drawing should have it's own respective name on it (not every drawing is the same).
Should this code be placed on each drawing instead of only in the reference file?
1. from your print dialog look for the pentable that is being used
2. from the pull down or menu pentable>edit
this will open the pentable then under text substitution you should be able to locate filename long or something similar
3.then you make it use something like $FILEL$ this will then substitute the full file path and file name ie the long file name.... ie put this text $FILEL$ somewhere around your sheet where you want the full path shown ..
4. Do not edit the $DATE$ to include $FILEL$ they need to be sepparate text entities for it to work.
