64-Bit Windows 7 HP Printers

We are using Microstation XM and we recently upgraded several of our users to windows 7 64-bit. We have several .PLT files which we have created for each printer that we have (we use the "sysprinter  /name='printername here'" function). We do this so we can specify weights independently for each printer to get the desired result.

After upgrading, we are having an issue with the .PLT files selecting the HP printers. We can use the Canon ones fine but any time we try to use one pointing to an HP it errors and microstation can no longer find any windows printers. The strange part about this is we can use the canon .PLT and then after the print window comes up we can select an HP printer (just not one of the .PLT files). The Batch printer also works to use any of the .PLT files.

We can work around for now, but I can't figure out what would be giving an error except incompatibility between windows 7 and XM.

thanks,
