Large PDF Files

If you have Adobe Acrobat v8.0 or higher you can go to the documen pull down and choose 'Reduce File Size' to eliminate the white space. I know this wasn't available in v5.0 but it showed up when I upgraded from that to v8.0.

Unfortunately when you do this it doubles the size of the pdf file !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now why I have to go to these extremes I don't know. But if I create a PDF from XM with the Bentley Driver it is 4,461,003, then open it in Adobe Acrobat 8.0  do Document > Optimixe Scanned PDF I can make the PDF good resolution (plotted D-Size and looked at it) and it is only 118,315. When you need to email 20-30 files this makes a big difference.

Not sure if this will help but there should be a setting for resolution. Try changing it to 2.

Also, try changing the quality to less than 100:

Just a thought. This may or may not work for you.
