Thanks in advance for taking the time to help me out. I am extremely new to Microstation with moderate CAD training on other software. I began a new job in a civil engineering firm and have set up my console to replicate the previous employee and I am having issues plotting files to get the same result as my coworkers on other consoles. I am getting nodes on my reference drawing that locate features that a surveyor took out in the field. The dots are being shown when plotted. I am on V8i (ver. 08.11.07.443) and my coworkers are using a MUCH older (pre2004 v8). When they open the same file in our network their nodes show up as squares and mine show up as points. I do not want these to plot. What steps can I take to prevent this?
More info is needed. Are these "nodes" on their own level? What type of element are they? are they text nodes, cells, points, ect? Maybe you could post a file to this thread with a few of those in the file so we can look at it. It's hard to tell what is going on with a screenshot.

No, these nodes are not on their own level. they are usually on a level that is mandated by our state DOT. These points (nodes) are geolocated by GPS out in the field and coded to DOT standards. These are strung together and create a profile (usually topographical) that our engineer then compares to record data to local authorities. These items appear in both the V8 and V8i, only in v8 they are square elements that do not plot. in V8i, however (the version I am being trained on), they plot. they are part of a cell that GEOPAK makes from the survey stings. I am unsure how to upload a DGN file into this, also, I am not sure if I am allowed to post files.
I tried the printer configurations. I did a side by side test print, when i had the field false (no check mark) it made the nodes more defined by putting a border around them.
Please attach the plot driver you are using.
Where can i find this?

I don't see these nodes in the drawing you attached. In your original post you stated they were in a reference file? Can you post parts of the reference file that contains the nodes?
This has been reported as a defect in V8I and will be fixed in the next major Microstation release. Potential workaround is drop the cell the point element is in then turn off points via the settings->print attributes on the print dialogue..
