[V8i] Linked Excel to PDF

Good afternoon,

I have a somewhat similar issue when printing linked Excel spreadsheets, but never this bad. I have an Excel spreadsheet linked in this file, and when I zoom in and out of the view, it will look strange for a second, and then update and will look correct. When I print the sheet however, it is unreadable (see attached). I am using a version of the Bentley PDF printer driver and trying to print a 11x17 sheet model to a 11 x 17 PDF (1:1 scale). Any idea why this is happening? I tried adjusting the raster quality, but it didn't do anything.

  • I do this all the time and with very large spread sheets the trick is to change / increase the default  resolution of the pdf its a setting in the pdf.pltcfg file i suggest you copy it and rename it like 600dpiPDF.pltcfg etc to suit

I have several for our users

    1200DPI_pdf.pltcfg

    300DPI_pdf.pltcfg

    LayeredPDF300DPI.pltcfg

    etc

Even ones with custom pentables preattached

600pdfWYSIWYG ( this one is for use with aerial photography backgrounds)

600pdf YELLOW FIX ( this one changes any yellow to dirty gold colour 20 so you can see it on paper)

These help to standardise printing amognst users especially if you document them in you cad standards manuals...
