[V8i SS3] Print Organizer won't print rasters (on my machine only)

I have set up a Print Organizer set that creates a pdf (using pdf.pltcfg).  For some reason with my PC it creates a pdf without the raster (small file size), but when the same PO set is processed on a coworker's screen, the rasters are part of the resulting pdf (large file size).  Both of us are pulling settings from a networked workspace.

I can use the same pdf.pltcfg from the standard Print dialog box, and the raster will pe printed just fine.

Any suggestions on how to get PO to print rasters from my machine?

  • There are a couple known raster printing issues from Print Organizer when other applications are installed, such as Descartes, Geopak and Inroads. Take a look at MicroStation’s ….config\appl folder. If geopak.cfg or geopak.3.0.cfg or msgeo.cfg or dcartes.cfg exists, temporarily move them out of appl, restart MicroStation, and then test Print Organizer.

  • Currently we use PowerCivil (SS3) and when we move the PowerCivilSite.cfg out of the config\appl folder, print organizer will print rasters without an issue. The downside of that is that all of our Power Civil configurations are generated from that same file so we cannot just remove that file permanently. It is awfully cumbersome to continually have to exit the program, move the config file, reopen the program, run print organizer, exit the program, replace the config file, and then reopen the program for normal use. There has got to be some type of way to edit the configuration files to include rasters with the print organizer.
