3D PDF Border

Hi,

Is it possible to create a 3D PDF with a border?

Any help is appreciated.

  • If I use this method the PDF has a background coloured "border" around the 3D model. It's like a 2 dimensional bounding box. If I rotate or move the model it is not showing outside of this border (or gets covereb by it).
When I created 3D PDF from Model View (=not sheet), this box effect was sized to the View window's size.
How can I remove this border, or is it possible to remove it?

  • I am not totally sure I understand, but could it be your referring to the Sheets models border ? If this is the case you could open the sheet model properties and turn off the option ' Display Sheet Boundary ' before printing.

If the shape is coming from an element within the file or reference, then may be its possible to turn this level off prior to printing.

Also check your print attributes ( From Print Dialog Settings > Print Attributes ) may be your printing a border which is having a bearing. Try toggling off the option ' Print border '.

  • Carl,

Check these 3D PDFs, rotate the models and you'll see. The one made from 3D view is using the whole A4 sized page, while the other (made from the 2D sheet) has only a rectangular space that perfectly fits the models size.

I'm not sure it will work this way. How can I attach 3D PDFs or other, not-media-type files in this forum?
