Print Organizer - Changes settings of rest of drawings already loaded

I am having issues with print organizer changing the properties of all the drawings that are already loaded in a print set when I go to add additional files.  What is causing this issue and how to fix it.

Thanks,

Daniel

  • Which properties are changing? Paper Size and Scale of all print definitions could be affected if the .pltcfg is redefined, manually or with a Print Style. This is common if the redefined .pltcfg does not support the same paper sizes as the original .pltcfg.

  • Todd, I am seeing this as well.
We did add a new paper size, and it appears at the bottom of the paper list but no defaults are set in the pltcfg sizes.
For instance, we added a single file to the plot set, all of the other files then changed their page size to the new size.
In another after we added the sheet to the print set it made the color red on the other sheets black and only the sheet we added left the color red on it
If we reapply the print style to the set it does update but hoping this is a one time thing.
Sorry to hijack this a bit Daniel.
Todd, could you also suggest what needs to happen if a dgn file border is shifted after it has been added to the printset?
It appears to keep the original location unless reapplied

  • Mike,

A Fixed print definition will retain the plot area even though the plot shape is moved. The plot area will have to be redefined manually or with a print style. However, when using Variable print definitions, Print Organizer defers the discovery of the plot shape to print time.

I’m not following you on the color issue. It sounds like a pen table and\or .pltcfg with color mapping has been changed.

On the paper size issue, when a .pltcfg is selected, the last paper size in the list will be applied to all print definitions unless a default is set or a print style is defining the paper size. However, if a new print definition is add without the .pltcfg changing, the paper sizes for the existing print definitions should not change.
