I am attempting to set up a text style using background mask and I can't get it to print correctly. We have previously used a filled box around the text that is separate from the text and specified in an Iplot pen table to fill in the box with white. This client will not allow the boxes since they then appear on the electronic file that we deliver to them.
I am using the BG color for the mask and the outline. I have it set up, it works in the .dgn file and appears correct on the screen. When I generate an uncolored pdf print, though, the background mask fills in black.
I am using an Iplot pen table as a design script. When I turn that off, the masking works. Is this a problem with using the old Iplot pen tables with Print and do I need to create a Print pen table (a totally new thing for me)? Or is there something I can add to the pen table to get it to work? I can't tell if the mask is an element of its own that can be defined in the pen table to print with a fill color or some other similar method. I can get it to fill in the box with white by specifying a fill color for the level that the text is on, but I can't get the outline of the background box to be white.
Thanks for any advice,
Nicole
