Print Organizer Fonts and Lintestyles

I am working on a new workspace for my company and have encountered a problem with print organizer not using the fonts and linestyles that are called for in the workspace.  I am using the correct pcf. The dgn looks correct on the screen and when I print a sheet through the print dialogue it looks correct but when I print it through the print organizer the fonts and linestyles are all wrong.

I have compared the loaded resource files through Configuration Explorer. The new and old workspaces are loading the same files from the same directory.    I have attached some images below to help.

Relevant software and OS:

MicroStation: 08.11.09.459 (does not change from one workspace to the next)

Windows 7 Professional with service pack 1

Thanks,

Jason

The image below is correct.

  • If the launching shortcut uses ustation.exe command line arguments, use MS_PLT_ENGINE_CMDLINE_ARGS to pass the same arguments to Print Organizer’s background MicroStation process.

Also, certain print workflows may depend on the design file being writeable. If MS_PRINTORGANIZER_OPEN_DGN_READWRITE is set to 1, the Print Organizer background process opens design files in read-write mode. For a test, open the DGN in read-only mode, if the line styles and font display wrong set MS_PRINTORGANIZER_OPEN_DGN_READWRITE = 1 and then test Print Organizer.

Confirm a Print Style is not defining the wrong User and\or Project workspace?

If the problem continues, is a ProjectWise Managed Workspace being used?

  • Hello Todd,

We are having this problem again. We had it fixed once now it is in the PW Workspace. Do you have any ideas about PW as you asked about that at the end of your message. Thanks.
