New Server, InterPlot Server, and Oce ColorWave 650

We recently established a new server for licensing and print management of our Bentley products. We are not able to use InterPlot Organizer or Microstation's IPlot feature successfully with the new server. The file spools successfully from the client machine, and pops up and out of the server's print queue, but the file never arrives in the printer's job queue.

Old server: Window Server 2003 R2.

New server: Windows Server 2008 R2.

We are running ProjectWise InterPlot Server/Organizer version 08.11.11.56 on both the old and new server.

I am able to use InterPlot Organizer and IPlot to print to the printer via the old server. Additionally, I can print to the printer via the same print queue using Microstation's Print feature, so I believe I have an established connection to the printer. Also, I can IPlot using the new server to other printers on the same server, so I believe I have the server and InterPlot Server configured correctly; atleast somewhat.

Any thoughts on what I am missing?

  • Thank you Ed, that did the trick albeit with a hitch. We are up and running with InterPlot utilizing the Oce Adobe PostScript 3 Driver (Version 1.22). Unfortunately, this driver created a scaling issue when printing from Microstation Print thru this printer queue. I could not determine the cause of the issue, so my team has retained the previous and separate printer queue that unitizes the Oce WPD2 driver.
