Hi Markus,
I copy here the latest word I have on this from the developers:
"We're currently working on allowing better control for weight and linestyle in hidden line views - we intend to support that in a release early 2009. As Rob mentions i you set the display to "hidden line" and plot the view it should automatically perform hidden line removal "on the fly"... For PDF make sure you don't have "Rasterized" selected."

What we have with Dynamic Views right now, is as you noticed, a style override weight for forward view, and another style override weight for section.
Right now, of all the "part-defined" attributes for style, the following are honored by Dynamic Views: color, linestyle (including centerlines and custom linestyles), patterning, hatching.
Will you consider using weight by display style override now while your part-defined weights remain dormant until Q1 2009? You will find that any dormant part-defined weights in your projects using V8i Dynamic Views, will then become active, revealed, once you install the Q1 release.
In attachment 2 sections with Dynamic view and DEM.
Problems with Dynamic view Sections:
1) Wrong Unification in same places according changing zoom level. In DEM Section no problems.
2) Line styles and weights not visible in Dynamic view. Only by printig when Rasterized is off and under Setings in Hidden LineRemoval - Accuracy is set to Medium I get line weigts to prints. But not correct unification.
