Adding a print driver to Microstation 95 version

Hello,

I am new to community and not very well versed in technical issues. I am trying to add a HP Officejet 6500A HP printer driver to a Microstation 95 version. I realize this is old software, just wondering if this can be done so that I may be able to use old software and program/

Any help would be appreciated. thanks

  • I would suggest you give printer.plt a try. If that doesn't work there are no other options since that version of MicroStation was never tested in the newer versions of Windows operating systems. I believe Windows NT was the last Windows OS under which it was last certified.

  • there should also be a hpgl.plt   which can make make  plot files and  we used to send those to the hp plotter. via dos copy command but in explorer you should be able to use the RM send to printer  of drag and drop the plot files ontop of the printer icon...

but the best bet is use the printer, plt to print to pdf  via a windows virtual pdf printer then use   a pdf reader to print to the plotter...after all your coning to send  pdfs to clients not paper plots right? Plus you get to preview the pdf and help to decide if you  print or not to print to plotter paper.. it  will saye you a lot of wasted plots and wasted ink.,   . plotters are expensive to run....
