Fonts Displaying Incorrectly

I have been working on a specific project for going on 4 years.  I have recently begun having an issue where the fonts of the traffic signs are displaying improperly.  Where the project-wide fonts are mostly Clearview and Highway fonts, now no matter what file I open up, the majority of the Clearview and Highway fonts have been changed to fonts such as Standard, Verdana, and Univers57 Condensed Oblique.  Strangely, some of the Clearview fonts were retained here and there.  The sign fonts have been displaying correctly for years, and then one day they didn't.  I am able to manually change the signs fonts back to their original fonts, but as there are thousands of signs this is not practical.  Other fonts on the sheets seem to be unaffected, just the fonts in the signs themselves.

Can anyone offer any insight as to what the problem might be?  Thanks in advance.

  • 1. open one of the reluctant  drgs and look in the message centre and see if there are any references to missing or cant find fonts and font substitution...

    2. check text styles have not been edited in your dgnlibs

    3. Has anyone else been editting your sign drgs?

    4. where are the fonts you wanted stored and are they still there?

    5. Are you using  the "Guide sign"  to make the signs , does it  have  specialised fonts , do you have the  program installed , has the license expired?

    6. Can you get old back up ( from IT dep) to see if returning to old status still has the  correct fonts, copy the current drgn to usb first...then you can compare the differences  re text styles etc...

...... sound like somebody updated something  that has global implications like the font  library location and content or the dgnlib text styles ....
