Hi all,
I want to print transparent elements , I have to use rasterized option from the print dialog box, if this option is checked the elements becomes dull or light.
is there any option or any pltcfg file which can be helpful without using the rasterized option and the element should display as it is visible in microstation.
It should be useful while printing in A1 as well as Long Print
where can I get the edited version of Bentley pdf pltcfg file.
How are you applying the transparency to the elements within Microstation? Are you applying it through level manager or individual elements using Transparent Attributes?
What pltcfg file are you using to print the file? Are you printing to a physical printer or directly to pdf?
What version of Microstation are you using?
Microstation CONNECT - 10.17.2.61
ORD - 2021 R1 10.10.1.3
ORD 2022 R1.1 - 10.11.3.2
ORD 2022 R3 - 10.12.2.4
Microstation v8i SS 10 - 08.11.09.919
Power InRoads v8i - 08.11.09.615
ProjectWise - 10.0.3.453
In order to obtain transparency you need to use a raster capable driver and use the "Rasterized" option at print time which indicates that the view is sent to the plotter as a single raster image.
PDF.PLTCF is the one printer driver configuration where the use of the "Rasterized" option may not be necessary to obtain the transparency on the output. This driver handles the transparency without converting the view to a raster image to obtain the transparency.
Once you have your .pdf file you can print it to any plotter or printer.
In MicroStation V8i you can get your drivers from - C:\ProgramData\Bentley\MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries)\WorkSpace\System\pltcfg
In MicroStation CONNECT - C:\Program Files\Bentley\MicroStation CONNECT Edition\MicroStation\Default\pltcfg
