I'm having an issue with a set of drawings when I try to print it as a TIFF. Every time I do so, it brings in elements into the drawing that are not actually there. It does not do this when I print the drawing as a PDF. Any suggestions???
Hi Joseph,
there are important inromation missing in your question: What MicroStation version do you use, what printer driver (and with what modifications). Can be some example shared ot at least to provide captures of original file and the result?

just curious as TIFF is a pretty old solution for printing cad just what is the requirement ? ... are you trying to make scans without a scanner? do you need to import these into another product if so what? not trying to avoid the question just nowadays there are better options in mstn than what your first asked to do by client or manager.....sometimes its just an old standard in a government department doc that was written before pdfs were available and never updated but they are happy to take pdfs as acrobat viewer is free and almost everyone has it installed and a tiff viewer now days is harder to come by ...

This was just something the client requested. They said they had issues viewing the PDF's when they printed. I don't see the issue. I think it's that they are used to dealing with TIFFs as opposed to PDFs. The drawings in question plot fine in PDF, but when I try to do so in TIFF, this "ghost image" appears in the background.
