I have several sheet files that are not printing the raster image. The image shows correctly displays correctly in the sheet. It’s strange (to me) when I open the print dialog the raster appears, then turns gray. What I have looked into: Under Print Checked the Apply print color mode to raster; the Print Raster is checked in the Print – Raster Options; the Level is checked in Raster Manager; the raster prints from the original file, the raster prints in other files I have referenced it to. As a newbie to Microstation I’m not sure what else to ty

Raster attachments can be assigned to a level. Is the level set to not plot? Check in Level Manager. Make sure the column for plotting is visible. If it is not right click in the column header and select Plot. If there is no check mark in that column for the level the Raster is on it will not plot. It should not show up in the preview either. I see that you stated you see it in the preview.

I should have mentioned that I have already check the level is set to plot (not set to NOT PLOT). A few additional items I have discovered; 1 when the Print View initially shows the image does too, but turns to gray; 2 I setup a new dgn file and the raster is able to plot until setting the Border attachment (I set it up with an ANSI D); 3 I referenced in a title block and when I turn the reference display off the image is able to print.
Also found out it is a shape file in the title block dgn file that is causing the issue. For future reference I would like to know what is causing this. Thanks for any suggestions.
So you are creating sheet models and this is where you experience the problem? The file could be corrupted if it is only happening to this file. I would try to recreate it using a good seed file.
Other than that, I do not really use sheet models so I doubt I will be much help.
I recreated the issue using a good seed file, and have also created a file without the problem. There is something with the level in the title block dgn file that is causing the issue. I assume the set is done intentionally, but not sure why. In a new file that works correctly I can reference and copy one level, used to define the limits of the border. Once I use this level the to define the limits the problem is recreated. Using any other level for the limits resolves the problem. I'm uncertain what can be defined with a level that causes this. Will keep plugging away to figure it out, unless someone else can point me in the right direction.
