Raster does not print

I have several sheet files that are not printing the raster image. The image shows correctly displays correctly in the sheet. It’s strange (to me) when I open the print dialog the raster appears, then turns gray. What I have looked into: Under Print Checked the Apply print color mode to raster; the Print Raster is checked in the Print – Raster Options; the Level is checked in Raster Manager; the raster prints from the original file, the raster prints in other files I have referenced it to.
