I have a dgn file with several SID raster images attached. This DGN file is then referenced into several other DGNs (cutsheets). How can I turn off the purple frame that comes around each of the SID files? Iam trying to make these frames disappear when I create PDFs
My version is V8i SS3 08.11.09.459
thank you
Jan,
Thanks for getting back to me. By "purple frame" I mean the outline of the raster images (i.e. the SID files). These are on the same level as the raster itself so I cannot turn them off. They are not visible on the screen unless I hover over them with the mouse but they do become visible (as thin white lines) when I make PDFs.
thanks again
P.S. I got a screenshot that I was going to show you but not sure how I can share it... I'm trying to figure it out

based on you description I assume no such elements "exist on the same level": When cursor hover over a raster element, its borders are highlighted by default in the same way as any other element is highlighted. Because the raster does not contain anything that can be highlighted, border shape is displayed dynamicaly (but it does not exist in a model).

You have not written anything about white lines so far, this is new information and it changes the described problem substantially. Do you mean "white lines are displayed, but (I guess) printed as black lines"?
As I wrote already, how rasters' borders are displayed is defined in User Preferences (category Raster Manager, tab General, setting Display Raster Border) . Did you check what is you current setting? From you description I assume it's set to Always, but default value is When selected.

Did you try Insert > Insert image/video/file tool in a post editor?

This website gives me an error when I upload the SIDs, not sure why? Their size is about 15MB/each. Have others had this issue before?
I am not sure whether a size limit exists (I guess yes), but it's recommended to always zip the file, because some extensions are not allowed.
Regards,
I zipped the files but still cannot upload them, likely because of the size (I assume). Is there any other way I can send them to you?
A link to it's internet location. The file source or you can use dropbox or similar to upload.

This is an issue I have seen where we used to get yellow lines plotting at the edges of the raster images. I think this was a reported issue, but it was a long time ago. I do not not know if it was a print driver issue or a Microstation issue. It may have been specific to Mr SID files. Are you able to convert them to a different format like jpeg2000?
The only thing I can verify is that we have experienced this issue.
