Hi - I've been battling with this problem for many years. If I put shading on a drawing with transparity I have to tick the rasterize box on the print menu. Sometimes though, when I do this, elements that I have deleted show up - a bit like a ghosting. On the image below, the sofa has been deleted but it shows up on a raster print. Help appreciated, using Powerdraft V8i. It doesn't show up if I untick the rasterize box but then my shading comes out black.
This may have nothing to do with anything - have you tried Compressing the file?

looks like a clipped reference to me go to the ref file and compress that...also check in ref manager is it attached try turningoff your attachments one at a time to locate the the source ...
BTW I never tick the raster box as it prints fuzzy if I do... but inside my pdf.pltcfg I have rasterise turned on and in my print settings use rasters ...
I use transparency all the time ie large filled colored areas for pavement types over long stretches of roadways.. it doesnt work show up as transparent in preview for ss3 but does work in the actual pdfs and paper prints...

I don't understand the pdf.pltcfg files or anything to do with config files. Since I left my practice, I don't have the it guys to set things up anymore! I am using printer.pltcfg because that gives me access to pdf995 and my HP designjet 800 A1 plotter. I tried unticking the raster box on the main print screen but made sure the raster box was ticked within the settings\raster options\print raster images is ticked and the pdf print comes out with shading as black with no transparity. How would I set up the config file your way?
can you PM me a copy of your pdf .pltcfg ( so I can reply at length off line) and post a copy here to pdf.pltcfg and I'll / we'll take a look and if I can I'll email you or post what I changed and what it does.. or somebody my beat me to the punch and post it all back here
BTW are you also using a pentable? I never use the original bentley driver always make a copy and rename the driver to be customised...safer that way...
Meanwhile its not too hard to work out on your own you can just use the edit printer config from the print dialog and then easier to understand dialog box pops with tabs where you can make changes inside fields similar look to excel and some have pulldowns etc....
