Hello,I have a problem with MicroStation v8i SS3, when i am about to print, i press ctrl+p and nothing happens.. it's like the dialog box was unable or so, i try to press the "print" icon and nothing works.. Does someone knows what is happening here and how to fix it? Thank you very much in advance
What possibly might happen is: 1) print dialog is placed outside monitor visible area. 2) Print dialog will not start due to difficulties with printer or printer driver.
Possible Solutions: Ad1: In MicroStation under Window, check if print dialog appears in list. If so, clean up MicroStation workspace preference folder when MicroStation is exited. For example: In MicroStation – Utilities – Key-In type:
$ % explorer $(_USTN_HOMEPREFS)
This opens Windows explorer
In this directory there will be files named: <workspace>.UPF and <workspace>.<xxxxx>.XML
Exit MicroStation and remove these file.
Ad2) In this case. In MicroStation – Utilities – Key-In type:
print dialog ; print driver HPGL2.PLTCFG or
print dialog ; print driver PDF.PLTCFG
This should open Print dialog and used printer driver configuration file I hope this helps.
