We are installing a FollowMe concept at one of our costumer who has Microstation V8i, but we have an issue with identifying the user.
We experience the following behavour:
If we print from using iPlot, from a user, we can see, if we pause the local print queue, the usernam of the user in the local print queue. if we unpause the queue, it looks like the job is being processed, and the user changes the SYSTEM user. Depending on which port type we are using we also could see the server name followef by the sign $, if wh use LPR, also the ip address of the server is shown.
What we are trying to achive is the keeping the printing username, insted of - at least what it look slike, the user which converts the job to a printable format.
Is there a way to pass on the local username?
If not, we might could fetch the user in another way if we eg. could add the username into the file print name.
