We have dgn files that contain several models. The default model contains all of the graphics. Other models are used for printing parts of the default model graphics. Saved views and references are used to pull appropriate parts from the default model to the other models. When we print with print organizer we are able to drag in the one dgn file and PO expands it into however many sheets it contains. This works well with the exception that the default model is also imported into print organizer. Is there a way to make one or any model un printable in print organizer? thanks
Ray
Go to the levelmanager, select all levels that you do not want to print from that model and uncheck "print".
Here's where to uncheck.
If "Print" is not available, right click the bar and select it there to make it show.

we don't want to block levels from printing but models on a file by file basis. We have a mixture of older and newer drawings, If we select to only print sheet models, many/most of the older drawings will not be selected/processed in print organizer.
Seems whatever solution you choose you would have to "touch" each file. Why not just create a Plot Organizer file (.pset) containing just the ones you want to print?

not everyone will remember which drawings in a plot set need to be deleted. we normally do not save pset files, it is too easy to create new ones at plot time by dragging and dropping in only the files we need to plot.
Actually, If you create a pset ahead of time, delete the unwanted models out of it and save it, that saves even more time and headache. It's just as easy to print just the sheets you want out of a pset - actually, easier than just dragging the files in and deleting out unwanted models.

we have too many sites (500+) to have to create and maintain pset files for each station. much easier to drag and drop the files to plot when you need to plot them. We have print styles set up to generate standardized plots, the only remaining issue is that we have some models that we do not need/want to plot.
do you know which ones they are, if so you can write a batch process script to rename the default name to DONTPRINT
then when your adding the files to pset the model names would be visible and or you only choose the sheet model or delete the DONTPRINT model from the pset if your not using CE edition don't use PO use the ancient batchplt.ma and define only sheet model capture for plotting not plain dgn models or reference plot capture shape.. then even if you add all the files for plotting your setting will only find the sheet model for plotting.. you can save that btchplot file and reuse copy paste or save as with different drgs but uses the same settings...
