MicroStation CONNECT; IS THERE A WAY TO DEFAULT TO (REMEMBER) THE LAST FOLDER PRINTED TO WITHOUT HAVING TO NAVIGATE TO IT, BY CLICKING ON DIRECTORY & THEN SELECTING THE FOLDER?
Thank you for your help Tom, much appreciated!
Just a few notes for anyone else that might read this....
In MicroStation CONNECT version, you navigate as follows; Go to File > Settings > Configuration Variables
Also, after clearing out the New Value Box, I had to enter [Undefined] there, in order for it to remember the last folder I was plotting in.
Best regards, ~tom

In CE can we make pcf ( project config file) like we could in V8i?
Then that would be easy way to define it per project only...

Currently Using V8iss10 (8.11.09.919)
and dabbling in CE update 16 (10.16.00.80)

I believe pcf are no longer regconised by OBD.
Lorys,
In CONNECT you can still define the the output folder at the project level (only now it's called the 'Workset' level)Different name, does the same thing.

I have been wrestling with the same problem.
The 'Configuration Variables' dialog that you alter, using the procedure as suggested above, is the User(personal) config file and not the 'workset' config file. Therefore all PDF output files are directed to that specified folder.
What I am expecting is that my PDF file will be delivered to a folder that is specific to the particular workset I am working in.
When I try and make the additiion to the workset config file the definition and try to save the path to MS_PLTFILES or MS_OUT the definitions will not save.
How can this issue be addressed.
What is the difference between MS_PLTFILES and MS_OUT .
Secondly there are Named Expressions in the 'Default Print Definition Name' and 'Output File Names' which influence the outcome. How do you set these so that the PDF fininshes in the directory as specified in above print variable (MS_Pltfiles or MS_OUT).

David,
When you look at the MS_PLTFILES configuration in the manager, what does it say off to the right under Level?
As for MS_OUT, I don't think that one exists in MSCE. There is a _USTN_OUT variable though. Its description is: Base directory for MicroStation output files. I'm not sure if that directory would take over for the MS_PLTFILES if it was undefined.
personally IMHO I prefer outputs of plots to always go to my c:\temp\pdfs so it don't matter what the project is I always know where they end up and can move them as zips or what ever to where they need to go later... plus printing to server is much slower than printing to c:\temp ( well with our server it is
