I am using MicroStation v8i SS2.
I am printing with a plot table that works well; all printing is set to monochrome, the plot table gives specific levels and patterns the variations and weight that I need for a dot project. However, an engineer is introducing an AutoCAD file with solid hatch that needs to be printed from the dgn file, but in color, not monochrome. I have adjusted the plot table to plot the cad layers/levels, and shapes at specific colors. But it does not work; I assume it is because of the monochrome setting in the print dialog, but want to confirm if this is likely the reason for the color not to print, or if it could be something to with the hatch and color layers coming from AutoCAD?
For a colour to print colour the print setting must be 'true colour'. This means setting the pen table so that other levels and colours come out black.
