v8i ss4 batchplot job untitled is not accepting add dgn any more

I have always been able to add extra dgns to an existing batch plot .job...over the last few days I have not  been able to do that and neither have my co workers...

So I tried to make a new job form scratch and no luck ... it says its adding but the giu doesn't show the added files and the file size of the saved named job is very small, when opened in notepad it is empty...

I can load old jobs and edit by  hand via notepad but that's a good workaround  but  not very efficient...

It has always been a stalwart mdl and  runs very much faster than Print organiser...

Part of the reason to default back is the PO just stops after a few files and crashes out, then it stopped letting non owners add files... I don't think these are related even if the symptoms seen similar... I have a horrible suspicion its IT imposed restrictions and  Sophos antivirus popped a message jut once last week about suspicious behavior in Bentley MicroStation...

Has any one come across this problem before...

  • Non-owners? That sounds like IT, not MicroStation.

Do you have read-write access to the location of the JOB files? Does MicroStation have read-write access?

  • I finally figured it  out, the batch plot job was looking for sheet models in the settings not default model, changed the setting and all is well with the world and it works  again.. to find the difference I had to make a new batch plot job which worked, and compare it with old to find the difference... it doesn't always pay to recycle the batch plot job for another project... another ah ha moment!
