I have recently updated the Microstation CONNECT software to update 13,
I can now not print to the Windows printers, I can only print to Microstation Pdf.
The printers show up in the drop down box but when I try and select them nothing happens.
when you type control p
you get the dialog for plotting and it looks like this yes
1. is the system printer.plt.cfg the tells mstn to use the default windows printer in your pc user profile for windows
2. lets you choose between windows printers to use
3. is the path and name to the windows printer
4. icon telling me its windows printer and you an configure the settings direct of the windows printer settings as this opens the window printer from the control panel of windows not mstn..
personally I don't bother with windows printer I use the Bentley pdf driver and print to pdf then view the pdf and then I might send the pdf to the printer.. this saves a lot wasted prints and as I will supply all my clients with pdfs not paper I need to see what they will see on the screen...in pdf viewers

This is the error I get when I try and use windows printer. I dont seem to have printer.pltcfg on my computer. Can I download from anywhere.
Well that would be a problem. Try this command from a DOS prompt, root directory. (I have Connect and v8i installed, don't be confused)

so you don't get the printer dialog popping only the error
what does the message centre say it says to see it for more information. invalid doesn't have to mean its not there
Darren we haven't heard form you did we fix the issue or did you find another solution please post as it may help others with similar issues..
