I have recently updated the Microstation CONNECT software to update 13,
I can now not print to the Windows printers, I can only print to Microstation Pdf.
The printers show up in the drop down box but when I try and select them nothing happens.
Fix printer connection and printing problems in WindowsUnplug and restart your printer.Check cables or wireless connection.Uninstall and reinstall your printer. Install the latest driver for your printer.Clear and reset the print spooler.Change a printer's status to "online"Unplug and restart your printer.

I'm having this same issues, so if anyone could provide some support on fixing this, I would be very appreciative.
Basically, I have a .pltcfg file that I created for our plotter on our local network in v8i. This configuration file still works in v8i, but in the CONNECT Print dialog, I keep getting the error "Unable to access Windows printer 'HP Designjet 500ps'."
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plotter on my computer, but I'm still getting the same errors. Why would this work in v8i and not CONNECT?
Darren we haven't heard form you did we fix the issue or did you find another solution please post as it may help others with similar issues..

so you don't get the printer dialog popping only the error
what does the message centre say it says to see it for more information. invalid doesn't have to mean its not there
Well that would be a problem. Try this command from a DOS prompt, root directory. (I have Connect and v8i installed, don't be confused)
